JAMES ENGLE

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

James has represented writers and directors in film and television as a Literary Manager for over a decade. He spent nine years at Echo Lake Entertainment, where he helped guide and shape countless projects for his clients, and extended the company's foray into new mediums. Engle also produces film and television projects - most recently, the film Oxygen, starring Mélanie Laurent for Netflix.

Engle began his career at the independent film production company Baldwin Entertainment Group, working as an assistant and junior development executive. From there, he joined ICM in the television literary department, supporting some of the agency's most established clients. After his stint at ICM, he joined veteran film producer Sean Daniel at the Sean Daniel Co., developing movies via a first-look deal with Paramount. He went on to spend four years managing feature writers and directors at Benderspink and subsequently joined the team at Artist International, where he further developed his concentration on television writer and director representation, before joining Echo Lake.

BEN C. SILVERMAN

CO-FOUNDER

In addition to his role as Literary Manger and Co-Founder of Navigation Media, Ben is the Managing Director of the Canadian management company Integral Artists, that in 2016 acquired a controlling interest in The Kirk Talent Agency. He serves as President of the production company Timeless Pictures, and is CEO of the private media investment firm Various Things Entertainment, which has a controlling interest in the feature film distribution company LevelFilm. Prior to launching Integral Artists, Silverman served as head of the West Coast Literary Department at The Characters Agency.

KEGAN SCHELL

LITERARY MANAGER

Originally from upstate New York, Kegan studied film production at Full Sail University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. He began working for Chuck and Rebecca Roven at Atlas Entertainment, assisting on the DC Superhero Films Suicide Squad, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Wonder Woman. From there, Kegan joined Echo Lake Entertainment, where he swiftly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Manager in the Literary Department. 
Kegan spent six years at Echo Lake before joining Navigation Media. As a member of the Navigation team, Kegan continues to be a passionate advocate for queer and underrepresented talent, especially in the horror and genre space, aiming to bring new perspectives to the Hollywood stage.

ABIGAIL PALMER

LITERARY MANAGER

Abigail started in Literary Management as an assistant at Epicenter supporting the careers of screenwriters and directors. She then moved to Intellectual Property Group as a Coordinator. In that role, she worked with a wide range of executives, screenwriters, and directors and also focused on IP representation. Abigail holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Master's Degree in Creative Producing. She has a passion for script and story development and is dedicated to supporting underrepresented storytellers.

ALEXANDRA SOUTHAM

ASSOCIATE

Prior to Navigation Media, Alexandra worked in production on shows such as Peacemaker, The Night Agent, and was production coordinator on the feature film Riceboy Sleeps which won the Platform Prize at TIFF ‘22 and has gone on to win an onslaught of awards throughout the festival season. Alexandra has studied Film & Media, English Literature and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She has an indefatigable passion for diversified stories, supporting clients, and collaborating with creatives.
